Bangalore Mango Utsava 2025 – A Sweet Summer Celebration at National College Grounds
Summers in Bangalore are extra special with the arrival of the much-awaited Bangalore Mango Utsava 2025! Held at the National College Grounds, Basavanagudi Bangalore from April 27th to May 4th, this vibrant event celebrates India’s favorite summer fruit – the mango – in all its delicious forms.
Today being a weekend, we decided to visit the Utsava and experience the mango madness firsthand. This is the third consecutive year that the Mango Utsava is being organized at the same venue, and it continues to grow bigger and better!
Getting there was quite easy. We simply hopped onto the metro and got down at the National College Metro Station. A quick road crossing and there we were – at the heart of the Mango Utsava!
Our Food Journey at Mango Utsava
As soon as we entered, the aroma of ripe mangoes and the sight of colorful food stalls instantly made us hungry. Here’s what we tried:
- Mango Rice and Mango Shavige:
The Mango Shavige (vermicelli) was absolutely delicious – fresh, sweet, and loaded with flavor. However, the Mango Rice was just average and didn’t really stand out compared to the Shavige. - Mango Kesari Bath:
This was another item we tried. While it wasn’t the best Kesari Bath we’ve had, it was decent enough for a quick bite. - Mango Pani Puri:
My wife tried this unique twist on the classic pani puri. Though it was a bit on the expensive side, the taste was outstanding and worth every rupee! - Mango Milkshake:
I personally went for the Mango Milkshake, and it did not disappoint. It was rich, thick, and priced reasonably. - Mango Sweets:
We couldn’t leave without tasting the mango-based sweets! We tried Mango Gulab Jamun and Mango Jalebi – both were super tasty, fresh, and not overly sweet. Plus, they were quite affordable.

There was also a Bakery Section offering items like Mango Pastry, Mango Berlina, Mango Tres Leches, Mango Cheese Cake, Mango Puff, Mango Tart, and Mango Alu Bun. Prices ranged from ₹40 to ₹150 depending on the item.
Fresh Mango Stalls – Straight from the Farmers
Apart from food, there were many stalls where local farmers sold fresh varieties of mangoes. From Alphonso to Banganapalli, the choices were plenty. The fragrance of ripe mangoes filled the air, and many visitors were busy picking and packing mangoes to take home.
Buying directly from the farmers ensures you get fresh produce at reasonable prices while supporting local farming communities.

- Best Time to Visit: Evening hours around 5 PM onwards are ideal as the sun is softer and the crowd manageable.
- Entry Fee: Free
- Payment Mode: Most stalls accept cash and UPI.
- Facilities: Basic seating and drinking water are available.
